Old User Interface files

If you are using the old UI you will need to copy some of the UI files from the default directory to your custom directory. This is for the the DirectX 9.0c (April file dates) update patch. If you order the files in decending order by date, these files will show up at the top of the list and can be copied over.

Dragons of Norath Merchant Search

I am currently working on setting up a DoN merchant search for the tools section and would like feedback on what people would find useful when looking for DoN era equipment bought with crystals. Enter your ideas here.

It is not necessary to enter a name or an email if you don't want to.

*April 7, 2006 update - All of the DoN item effects have been added to the database. As I add the actual DoN merchant items to the DB I will post links to them on the homepage. Once I have entered all of them, I will create the search page and place it in the tools section.

Ritald Found!

News Announcements - March 11, 2006

Ooo! Ooo! I found Ritald in Dulak's Harbor! Ya, I know. It's not all that big of news. However, Allakhazam doesn't have it listed so I figured I would post it for any shadowknights looking to do the prequest for thier epic 1.5.

Ritald:
Zone: Dulak's Harbor
Location: -484, 137, 2
Directions from zone in: From the zone in head Southeast until you are out of the cave. Then head directly south until you are past the last small building. Ritald is against the wall just North of the first peir. It is the pier before the one that you board the Stormwave boat.

And as long as I'm on the subject Captain Varns appears to be just past location 2363, -696, 99. I have not confirmed this yet but maybe I will later today.

EQ Interface Change Part 2

After trying the last default_old UI fix and finding out that it didn't exactly work, I found another fix posted on the Sony boards. I'm trying this one out today to see how it works.

Or paraphrased, copy the following files from the /program files/everquest/uifile/default/ folder into your /program files/everquest/uifile/default_old/ folder:

    EQUI_RaidOptionsWindow.xml
    EQUI_AdvancedDisplayOptionsWnd.xml
    EQUI_GuildManagementWnd.xml

Then open those files and change this: WDT_Filigree To this: WDT_Rounded When I changed mine there were 2 files that changed.

EQ Interface Change

News Announcements - February 20, 2006

Last day for the old interface - According to the patch message from January, today is the last day that the old user interface will be supported. The exact message from Sony:

"We would like to remind everyone that we do not actively maintain the old user interface. If you are still using the older UI then it will have to be updated like any other custom UI when Prophecy of Ro is released on February 21st."

EQInterface has a short description on how to continue to use the old UI here.
